Topps Tiles has forged a new charity partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, pledging five years of fundraising for the national cancer charity.
The UK's biggest tile specialist, which raised over £250,000 for its previous charity partner, Help for Heroes, will run a programme of local store and national head office events.
Topps chief executive Matt Williams said he believes the business will be very much up for the challenge:
"Macmillan Cancer Support came out on top as a result of a company-wide employee vote - no surprise considering just how many people are affected by cancer," he commented.
"As our previous fundraising support has highlighted, our employees are an active and engaged bunch and we've some great fundraising challenges lined up, from a cycling challenge to a Bake Off competition, along with Macmillan's iconic World's Biggest Coffee Morning event."
Macmillan chief executive Lynda Thomas added: "All of us at Macmillan Cancer Support are delighted to be working in partnership with Topps Tiles over the next five years. There are currently 2.5m people living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis in the UK and that number is increasing.
"It's our ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer but we simply cannot do this alone. This is why support from organisations like Topps Tiles and its employees is so valuable to us."
Travis Perkins and Benchmarx announced in February that they would also be
partnering with Macmillan Cancer Support, aiming to raise £3m for the charity over the next three years.
