Revenues are estimated to have increased by 3.7% like-for-like during Topps Tiles' fourth quarter, the retailer announced in its pre-close trading update for the 52 weeks ending September 29, 2012.
Total sales for the year are expected to be in the region of £117million, up around 1% year on year. Like-for-like revenues are expected to decline by around the same amount, a positive change from last year when the LfL figure decreased by 2%.
The board has now said it expects adjusted pre-tax profit for the year will be broadly in line with expectations. Having opened 13 new stores and closed or relocated eight during the period, Topps is now trading from 325 stores in the UK.
During the 52 weeks the group completed the disposal of a freehold property for £3.1m. Topps said there had been "no significant on unexpected changes in the financial position of the group since the publication of the interim report for the
half year".
Topps will announce its preliminary results for the 52 week period on Tuesday, November 27.
