Topps Tiles website surges in quarterly survey
Sitemorse's quarterly survey ranks 500 websites on function, accessibility, code quality, performance, metadata and email. The latest quarterly review boosts the tiles and wood flooring retailer's position by 187 places over the previous quarter, a ranking that places it firmly in the top half of websites surveyed.

Over the last three months, Topps Tiles has carried out several improvements to toppstiles.co.uk, covering new designs for the home page and product pages, clearer header navigation, behavioural tracking to facilitate recommendations, an expanding shopping basket, meta-data review and increased server bandwidth to increase site speed.

The company says the changes have all contributed to the website's strong surge up the rankings to position 201, overtaking Homebase (ranked 361), B&Q (417) and Wickes (424), as well as leading household brands including Tesco (232), Ikea (233) and John Lewis (252).
