Organisers confirm that the 2015 Totally Shows have already sold nearly 60% of their exhibition space to new and returning exhibitors.
Confirmed first-time exhibitors for the 2015 show include Birmingham Innovations, Creative Products, Eurobond Adhesives, Kipor UK, Marxman and MBM Metal Box Mender.
In addition, several companies are returning to exhibit at the shows after a break, including the distributor of Neilsen Tools, Cannon Tools; non-slip fabric specialist Isagi; leading self-adhesive tape manufacturer Tesa Tape and manufacturers of all types of ladders, Titan Ladders.
Show director Paul Grinsell commented: "We have also had a fantastic uptake on rebookings this year from our 2014 exhibitors which is great news."
Other suppliers lined up to exhibit include AW Tools, Abingdon King Dick, AmTech, Avron Trading, Big Wipes, Bulk Hardware, Burg Waechter, Centurion Europe, Chain Products, Cottam Brush, Davenport Burgess, Dekton Tools, Direct Worldwide, Draper Tools, Euro Showers, Flex Power Tools, Gorilla Glue, Hugo Brennenstuhl, John Guest Speedfit, LG Harris, LadderLimb, Linic Products, London & Lancaster Rubber, National Abrasives, Newsome Tools, Polypal Retail Systems, Reliable Source, Rolson Tools, Salepoint, Schneider Electric, Serracon, Spear & Jackson, Sterling Locks and the Youngman Group.
The British Hardware Federation (BHF) will be taking its regular Pavilion space for 2015, and is currently planning to feature 11 bira direct members alongside its own stand.
Brintex has also teamed up with the BHF, Home Hardware and Stax to offer a special 'Totally Independent' package to leading partner-nominated retailers to encourage them to come along and take part in the industry's biggest networking occasion.
The hospitality package will include a free overnight stay in Coventry near to the shows' venue, the Ricoh Arena, a free ticket to attend the DIY Week Awards black-tie dinner on Monday, February 16, and a free lunch when attending the shows. Full details will be released in November once each partner has forwarded their list of nominated retailers to Brintex.
"We would advise any independent retailers who would like to be part of these two great events and be nominated for our 'Totally Independents' free hospitality package should make sure their Association or wholesaler is aware of their interest sooner rather than later," said Paul Grinsell.
He added: "The purpose of our exhibition has always been to bring buyers and sellers together face to face, but the reality is that we can't stop there - we also have to find ways of helping both sides make contact with each other in a meaningful way. So, we are working on various initiatives and activities at the shows that will help both parties to do this - whether it's sharing a beer at the end of the day, or a straight talking 'why should we do business together' type discussion, we want the shows to provide opportunities for both informal and formal get togethers for the industry - after that it's up to them."
Further details of the networking opportunities the shows have planned will follow in the autumn.
The 2015 Totally Shows will run February 15-17 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. The DIY Week Awards evening will run on Monday, February 16.
