Town & Country has returned to the Chelsea Flower Show for its 23rd consecutive visit this year - and taken the opportunity to announce the final tally of its fundraising efforts for Greenfingers on Garden Re-Leaf Day 2015.
The company pledged that for every pair of gardening gloves sold on the day it would donate 25p to Greenfingers, the charity that creates gardens in children's hospices.
Now it has revealed that a total of 8,420 pairs of gloves were sold on that one day - raising £2,105 for the charity. The cheque was handed over to Greenfingers chairman Matthew Wilson, on the garden he designed for the Royal Bank of Canada at this year's Chelsea.
Greenfingers head of fundraising Linda Petrons commented: "Town & Country has long been a supporter of Greenfingers and we already have a lot to thank them for. This latest fundraising initiative comes after an already generous donation of £7,000, which was made earlier this year.
"We would like to thank them for their ongoing support. Fantastic contributions like these are vital if we are to continue our much valued work."
