Trade park creates new jobs in Royston

Published: 15 December 2017 - Kiran Grewal

A new Trade Park on Royston industrial estate has created a number of new jobs for local residents, thanks to investment from builders’ merchant Jewson.

The Royston Trade Park will now serve as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for building, plumbing, heating and tiling materials, after sister companies Graham, the plumbers’ merchant, and tile supplier, CTD, have opened alongside the existing branch on the Orchard Road Industrial Estate.

Five new jobs have been created across the Trade Park, which held a celebratory open day on November 15th. Customers were able to speak to various kitchen and bathroom suppliers, who were on hand to give more information about their latest ranges, as well as share some freebies.

Royston Branch Manager for Jewson, Andy Dawson, said: “To support our customers in the best possible way, we need to make sure we have a wide range of building products and services available whenever needed.

“Being in close proximity to our sister brands helps us do just that. It also gives us an opportunity to invest in the local community and create jobs for residents.”

Ahead of its opening, the 31,000 square foot site was completely refitted. A new, bigger car park was also laid for easier parking.
