Supplier creates three new roles to meet demand.
Due to recent growth in its import and export business, Blackpool-based Trans-Continental Group has expanded its staff line-up by adding three new roles – two senior managers in sales and marketing, and a business development manager
Dan Appleby, who has experience at sales and blue-chip companies, takes on the brief of business development manager.
David Jones takes control of all marketing and pr activity as group marketing manager, having had a seven-year spell running his own creative agency in Manchester.
Terry Murphy joins in the newly developed role of national sales manager.
Mike Withers, md of Trans-Continental Group, said: "I am absolutely delighted to welcome them all to our team. Each brings with them key skills and experience, which I am confident will assist the group in moving forward with our growth and development plans."
David Jones added: "This is a great opportunity to further strengthen the Trans-Continental Group brand, and to conduct a strategic review of the group in readiness for the big push in 2008.
"Between the Snowtime and Suntime brands, the marketing department is going to be very busy!"
Trans-Continental Group, through its Snowtime brand, is a leading supplier of Christmas products in the UK, has over 80 employees at its two offices in Blackpool.
There is also 20 staff at a Far East office and showroom in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
It is expected that further expansion will take place in the New Year as several innovative product lines are released.
