Five employees of Tripp Batt & Co have together clocked up over 200 years of service with the long-established Suffolk-based business.
All were recently presented with gifts and certificates by the company, which operates a hardware store and garden machinery dealership plus an engineering division focusing on the agricultural and food processing industries.
The long-serving five are Robert Foulger (48 years, and who started at Tripp Batt in 1965 at the age of 15), Patricia Cotton (46 years), George Talbot (40 years), Alison Tunbridge (39 years) and David Corbett (31 years). They were honoured at a special ceremony at the company's site in Stanton, near Bury St Edmunds, where there are 25 staff in total.

Managing Director Adam Conroy said: "When it was pointed out to me that a landmark of 200 years had passed, I knew we had to celebrate it. In these days it's rare to find a company with such a loyal workforce and whilst we have many younger staff with a variety of skills, it's very reassuring to know that we have such experienced members within our team".
