DIY Week is very pleased to announce that knife and cutlery manufacturer Amefa has once again confirmed its support for the sector's biggest awards event.
The company will sponsor the Britain's Best Multiple Retailer category for the second consecutive year at this November's Britain's Best Retailer Awards.
Managing director Martin Russell told DIYweek.net, "Amefa (UK) Ltd is proud to sponsor the award for Britain's Best Multiple Retailer - to recognise those organisations that are striving to improve this industry that we are all involved with, that produces creative and innovative solutions to build this sector from within. The joining together and support that manufacturers and retailers can provide each other with, ensures that as a collective we can and will achieve more".
Creative Tops have also confirmed their support of a brand new category, introduced this year: Britain's Best Independent Department Store. Focusing on the home and housewares departments, the awards recognises excellence in housewares retailing within the independent department store sector.
Creative Tops spokesperson Clare Farthing told DIYweek.net: "We're incredibly excited about sponsoring this category. This particular sector is incredibly competitive and as manufacturer we know the pressures that these stores are under on a daily basis. What I think will single out the winners from the losers are those department stores who in the current economic climate can play on some real strong areas of specialisation, differentiation and find profitable, defendable and sustainable niches."
The 2008 awards winners will be announced at the annual gala awards dinner, a glittering black-tie event at the Deansgate Hilton, Manchester on Tuesday November 18. To reserve your table at the event contact Rachael Pearson on 020 8651 7081 or rachael.pearson@fav-house.com.
