Hannah Garrigan bags the title after her 'Autumn Leaves' design received 5,199 public votes in the competition organised by personalised wallpaper company.
The Udesign competition sought to showcase new talent in the design world, and give them a head start in their career. Ms Garrigan, who recently finished a course in interior design, beat off designers from around the world, winning 40% of the share of more than 12,800 votes.
Her prize comprised £750 cash and 3 rolls of her exclusive design, while she will also receive 10% royalties on any roll of her wallpaper sold by Udesign.
Udesign executive David Welch said: "The rich plum and softer lilacs in Hannah's Autumn Leaves wallpaper evokes the forthcoming season aptly. The hand-drawn leaves are playful and would look lovely in any room. Huge congratulations to Hannah for her success in the competition - we love her design and know the general public do too, considering the support she had during voting."
A close second was Monique Stewart of Crayford, Kent with her "Popping out" design, which received 4,561 votes. Monique, along with the 20 other designers shortlisted in the competition, will also receive 10% royalties from sales of their designer wallpaper on the Udesign site.
