Visitors and exhibitors give thumbs-up to Exclusively

Published: 16 June 2015
Reaction to this year's Exclusively Housewares and its new sister show Exclusively Electrical has been overwhelmingly positive, show organisers said today.
Visitors and exhibitors give thumbs-up to Exclusively
Both shows, which ran on June 9 and 10 in London, closed knowing that their combined visitor numbers were up, rebookings from exhibitors had hit their highest level ever and that several new initiatives for both shows this year had all been well received.
"We've had an exciting, buzzy couple of days," said shows director Simon Boyd, "and the whole team is already full of ideas for 2016."

As well as the new Exclusively Electrical show, the influx of new exhibitors into Exclusively Housewares - due to some suppliers moving into the electrical show - helped to add excitement and fresh impetus for visitors.

So did the introduction of an independently-curated On Trend trail of products by trend forecaster Scarlet Opus, and a new emphasis on highlighting products suitable for the key Christmas sales period.

Thanks for the reply Indie, fortunately my portfolio is already full with exciting things and I only saw one line which I thought would be good to add only to be told by the principal that at this time they dont want agents. This was why the food came top of my list unfortunately!
BTW it was actually better than a sandwich and regarding amount of shows we also attend the AIS shows and would willingly attend more national shows.

Tony, I would have thought you would have been excited about the new products you saw that you wanted to sell to your Retailers and that maybe you had picked up a vibrant new Agency rather than a free sandwich. No problems we all have different views that what makes life interesting.

Sorry Indie, maybe not too many shows but too many expensive shows. I managed to walk round most of the show as it wasnt taht big and everybody seemed upbeta about everything even though we were told that not many orders were taken as "this isnt that type of show"
If I cant get excited about free food in London what should I be saying??

Truly sad that the best part of a show is the free food! No wonder people say there are just too many shows.

I attended both days of the show working with Country Matters and the biggest appeal for me as an agent was the fact that food and drinks were free. No expensive bills like you get at the NEC shows, maybe they should take a leaf out of this shows ideas book!
