The Garden Centre Group has recruited Waitrose's head of marketing communications, Sarah Fuller, as its marketing director.
Ms Fuller was with the John Lewis Partnership supermarket for three years, during which she worked on the launch of the Essential Waitrose range and on the Delia Smith and Heston Blumenthal campaign, as well as developing Waitrose's loyalty scheme. She was previously director of marketing and insight at British Airways Group.
Ms Fuller will lead GCG's marketing, ecommerce activities and customer services and will also be responsible for The Gardening Club loyalty scheme.
GCG chief executive Kevin Bradshaw commented: "In the 12 months since The Garden Centre Group was acquired by Terra Firma we have been able to attract strong talent into all areas of the business, which, combined with a range of operational improvements, have made us stronger and more profitable as we grow.
"We welcome Sarah's leadership in continuing to drive this growth both with our current loyal customer base and new customers to the group."
Robert Diamond, Ms Fuller's predecessor, has left the company.
