A cash and carry warehouse supplying diy, paint, varnishes and wallpaper to discount stores in Wolverhampton has been destroyed in a fire.

According to local newspaper reports, 40 firefighters spent most of the night battling flames at The Untouchables factory warehouse, which was full of stock.

Only the charred shell of the building was left standing. Damage to a store a small distance away is being assessed.

The Express and Star went on to say the blaze was being treated as arson and investigations were centring on a propane cylinder found at the back of the building.
