B&Q saw its sales of outdoor and garden products slump 20% as a result of the terrible weather over the last two months.
The Kingfisher owned company saw its life-for-like (lfl) sales fall by 2.3% overall for the 10 weeks to July 14.
Chief executive of the group, Gerry Murphy admitted: "Abnormal weather patterns boosted sales in the first quarter, but were very unhelpful in the second."
Overall, sales were up 7.2% (+2.6% lfl) on the back of a 14.4% lfl sales growth from its outlets in Italy, Spain, Poland and Ireland.
The group now has 760 outlets around the world after opening 18 in the second quarter.
