Family-run garden centre Webbs, near Droitwich, will once again support three local hospices: St Richard's Hospice and Acorns Children's Hospice both in Worcester and Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove.

Over the last six years Webbs has donated over £86,000 towards the hospices' fundraising coffers.

Webbs executive chairman, Ed Webb said: "We have been very pleased that our ongoing partnerships with St Richard's, Acorns and Primrose hospices have been so successful, helping to raise funds towards the huge ongoing running costs for providing specialist care for local adults and children."

He added: "So many people have experiences of life limiting and terminal illnesses or know of someone who has and understand that the services offered by these hospices make a huge difference to people at a very difficult time in their lives. That's why we have chosen to put all our efforts into supporting our local hospices to help local people."

Lyn Winters, fundraising manager for Primrose Hospice said: "We are delighted Webbs has chosen Primrose Hospice for the third year running as their charity of the year. We are all facing financial pressures, so to have such high profile support will be invaluable to Primrose. The Webbs' Team are fantastic to work with and we appreciate everything they do."

Fran Winterbourn, Community fundraising manager at Acorns said: "Acorns is thrilled to have ongoing support from Webbs. We understand that the current financial climate is putting a strain on local firms giving to charitable causes, so to have Webbs' support for this year is great news for the hundreds of life limited children and their families who use Acorns services every day."

Director of fundraising for St Richard's Hospice, Marilyn Peachey said: "Webbs has been a fantastic business supporter of St Richard's in so many ways, both financially and with sponsorship and donations in kind. This is our silver anniversary year and we are absolutely delighted that Webbs has chosen to continue supporting us. I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of all our patients and families who benefit from their generosity."
