I've profiled some of the key ideas below. They aren't by any means exhaustive but they are a good start for anyone looking for DIY or style inspiration in 2015.

Natural Finish: Get Back to Basics
This is a trend that's all about embracing the natural beauty and imperfect nature of wood.
It's a rough and ready, less polished take on the popular Scandi look, using matt, protective products to bring out even more real warmth and character on everything from floors to furniture.

Colourful Gardens
We're using our outdoor spaces more and more, and adding a splash of colour is becoming popular as a way of creating vibrant, inviting places with all-year round appeal.
Whilst green and brown are still popular, as our trend report reveals, customers are looking to experiment with brighter shades too.

Going for Bold
When it comes to selling or revamping your property, first impressions are still everything.
And after years of painting our front doors pale, neutral shades, British householders are going for bold - opting for strong, statement colours instead.
This trend is all about standing out from the crowd with deep, traditional shades applied to achieve a perfect finish.

Statement Wood
Let wood do the talking with this fresh, warm trend that works on indoor and outdoor surfaces, including decking.
Forget 'pale and interesting', now we're looking to celebrate the beauty of cared-for wood, adding a rich glow to all kinds of homes.
So if consumers have got great quality furniture and furnishings, give them space to shine by showing them off against a pale or neutral backdrop.

Back to Black
Decking is still amazingly popular but in 2015 we've seen a move towards a more contemporary, urban style that uses black and dark stain to great effect.
In this widening of the popular grey palette, householders are enjoying experimenting with a wider range of shades, including slates and charcoals.
