Simon Cowling from Stevenage has been named the Wickes Store Manager of the Year.
Mr Cowling came top of the list out of the chain's store managers across its 200-strong portfolio. He receives £3,000 of holiday vouchers.

Wickes operations director David Furness said: "This award is presented to the store manager who has consistently delivered standards of excellence throughout the previous year. Simon has worked for us for five years and has adapted quickly to the business - this year alone he has been responsible for managing not one but three stores across the southeast region. His drive and enthusiasm has resulted in an increase in sales across all three stores."

Mr Cowling said: "Winning this award really is a joint effort - it belongs to each and every one of the team members across the three stores that I've been fortunate to work alongside this past year. I am so proud of them all and cannot thank them enough for the effort they have put into making their store a success and for the support they have shown me. My family and I are looking forward to our holiday in the sun."
