DIY chain Wickes is the latest retailer to withdraw advertising from the News of the World following phone hacking allegations against the newspaper.
A spokesperson for the chain said: "Wickes will not be advertising in the News of the World whilst the investigation into their conduct is in progress. Any decisions around advertising with News of the World will be made following the outcome of the investigation."
Wickes has joined supermarket chains the Co-op, Sainsburys and Aldi in suspending its advertising with the publication, while Marks & Spencer is said to be monitoring the situation.
Car maker Ford was the first to pull advertising, and a growing online campaign put pressure on other companies to follow suit.
The News of the World is under police investigation after allegations that a private detective working on its behalf hacked into the voicemail of murdered teenager Milly Dowler while she was still missing, potentially jeopardising the hunt for her.
