Wickes has raised £100,000 in just one week for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to celebrate the charity's 50th birthday.
Customers donated 50p on top of their purchases as part of a '50p Ask' drive at stores across the UK from August 16-22.
Wickes' operations director David Furness said: 'This initiative was a first for us and we are incredibly grateful to our generous customers. Thanks to them we were able to generate an amazing amount of money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and hopefully raised awareness about the great work they do."
The charity partnered up with Wickes in 2006 and, to date, the retailer has raised more than £1m to help fight against blood cancers.
The charity's director of fundraising Kate White said: "Raising £100,000 in just one week is an absolutely amazing achievement. We are so grateful to everyone who donated throughout the week and of course to all the staff at Wickes who have shown an enormous commitment to fundraising for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research."
