Top sporting tickets among the star lots due to be auctioned at the 2009 DIY Gala Dinner in aid of the Rainy Day Trust.
Dulux has donated four tickets for the 2009 Wimbledon men's final, complete with a full hospitality package. "If you could get hold of these - which is near on impossible - they would be in excess of £2,500 each," said Rainy Day Trust president Ashley Leboff.

PPG has donated six tickets for the Manchester United v Manchester City match on May 9, 2009 - again with a hospitality package. And Calor has donated two tickets for the Manchester United v Blackburn Rovers match on February 21, 2009.

Other fund-raising initiatives at the the dinner include a raffle sponsored by Decco, with prizes including the latest Ipods and other popular hi-tech gadgets.

"The 2008 dinner was a huge success, and raised more than £25,000 for the Rainy Day Trust," said Mr Leboff. "The industry has always been very supportive of our work, and we are looking forward to another evening of successful fund raising."

The 2009 DIY Charity Gala Dinner is on Monday January 19, at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.

The charity dinner includes a champagne reception, three-course meal with wine, and a full evening's entertainment starring top comedian Ed Byrne.
