Wyevale Nurseries picks up on garden do-it-for-me trend

Published: 6 July 2015
The do-it-for-me (DIFM) trend is emerging not only alongside DIY but in the garden industry too, says Wyevale Nurseries, which believes the move will see a bigger demand for garden designers and landscapers.

In response it has now launched a new garden design and domestic landscape sales department and appointed Adrian Hoare as garden design & domestic landscape sales manager. He has been with the company for 30 years.

Said sales and marketing director Adam Dunnett: "He will be able to give guidance to customers on plant selection, sourcing product and finding solutions to fill the most challenging landscape designs."

Wyevale has also made significant changes to its production, with more specimen shrubs, a wider range of must-have herbaceous, container hedging and tree ranges, to give designers and architects a one-stop shop for complex planting schemes.

Mr Dunnett added: "We would also like to work closely with proactive and forward-thinking garden design and domestic landscape companies to form a working partnership.

"Garden design colleges are now training a new generation of very professional designers and this means there is a bright future for our industry."
