Mountain Warehouse has installed similar stores in other outlets operated by the GCG, including Andover GC and Woodlands Nurseries. Both of these developments were let from plan and erected with the sole purpose of bringing complementary retailers to the site.

The new Mountain Warehouse at Woodbridge is located just off the garden centre car park. According to First Franchise, it is a "growing trend within garden centres to erect purpose built retail units in areas of a garden centre's premises for exactly this kind of use."

First Franchise md Keith McIntyre said: "The use of purpose build bespoke units to accommodate where there is limited internal space, represents the way forward for the development of all garden centres' development... We look forward to developing more of these purpose built units with garden centres as it is an initiative applicable to all."
