Yale launches animated character for online campaign

As part of its social media and online campaign, Yale has created an animated advice expert character that offers help and tips to its customers.
The character is based on longstanding employee, Ian Tilley, who has been at Yale for 28 years and has become an impressive fountain of knowledge about the company and its products.
The campaign encourages consumers to contact Yale via Facebook and Twitter with their security and product questions, which will be answered by the Yale security expert character, known as Tilley. This also coincides with social media competitions to win prizes, including a Kindle or a digital camera.
The company has launched an
animated video, featuring Tilley, promoting the
YaleUK Facebook page and the
@YaleSecurity Twitter account to stay up to date with all the news. Twitter users are urged to use #Tilley as another way to get in touch.
Trade marketer at Yale, Lauren Ashfield, said: "Amongst the team, Ian is highly regarded for his unbelievable knowledge of Yale and our products. Ian was the obvious person to be the face of this campaign and it was a great way for Yale to honour his years of help and commitment".
