Yale takes smart step forward

Yale continues to strengthen its Smart Living division with the appointment of a new member to the team.
Software specialist Andy Winton has been selected as the new product manager of Cloud Servers for Yale Smart Living. Equipped with 20 years experience in this field, Mr Winton’s previous roles include principle software engineer at Ultra Electronics in Derby. This role saw him working with devices for government use, which mainly focused on networking and cryptowork - skills that will be beneficial for his new role at Yale.
Mr Winton's position at Yale will see him manage and develop the Smart Living cloud servers. Commenting on his new role, Mr Winton said: “I have wide range of experience in this sector, so it is exciting for me to bring a new ideas to the table. It’s also great to start working in a developing market, and it’s exciting that I will be able to have an influence over its development in the coming weeks and months.”
Yale managing director Nigel Fisher also commented, “We are focused on investing in the Yale Smart Living brand, and committed to encouraging growth in this sector, so we are delighted that Andy is joining the team. He joins us at an exciting time and we all look forward to seeing the benefits Andy’s experience and skill set will have on our Smart Living offering.”
Originally from Scotland, Mr Winton now lives in Stafford with his wife and four children, and enjoys running, cycling and swimming. He has taken part in the Stafford half marathon for the past two years, and completed his first triathlon this year in Newbury.
