Irwin Tools has crowned carpenter and joiner Daniel Shepherd as the World's Ultimate Tradesman.
Mr Shepherd, from Halifax, Yorkshire, beat six global champions at the World Finals event, held at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, USA.
He performed a series of tasks against the clock, including gripping, sawing, marking, clamping and drilling, and completed the final round in 25.07 seconds, earning him the $10,000 prize.
Mr Shepherd, who beat finalists from the US, Australia, Brazil, Poland and Denmark, said: "This competition has opened so many doors for me thanks to Irwin Tools. I thought being the UK/Ireland Ultimate Tradesman Challenge Champion was out of this world. The world competition has surpassed all my wildest dreams."
Irwin hosted 250 competitions in nine countries, with more than 16,000 tradesmen competing to see who could complete the challenge faster than any other tradesman in the world.
Irwin senior channel marketing manager Paul Jakeway said: "The competition was fierce and what Dan Shepherd has achieved is fantastic. It is a testament to the hard work and skill that exists right across the UK and Ireland."
