Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Published: 15 November 2010
This year's winners of Britain's Best Retailer Awards were announced at last Thursday's black-tie gala event and dinner...
Retailers and suppliers alike filled the Deansgate Suite at the Deansgate Hilton Hotel in Manchester to hear who had won each of the prestigious 11 awards. The night was brilliantly compered by Steve Furst who also announced and awarded the Gold winners in categories including, Britain's Best Hardware Retailer, Britain's Best Garden Retailer, Britain's Best Tool Retailer, Britain's Best Decor Retailer, Britain's Best Retail Website and Britain's Best Superstore Manager. A full list of winners is below.

Guests also dug deep into their pockets in support of the Rainy Day Trust, and contributed a total of £1,598.83 to the charity - equivalent to £2,046.50 when Gift Aid is taken into account.

RDT trustees were delighted with the donation, said Trust president Colin Petty. "Like many charities, the Rainy Day Trust has experienced a drop in income over the past couple of years, and it's been a real struggle to maintain the level of support for our beneficiaries. We're hugely grateful to the guests at the Britain's Best Retailer Awards dinner for their generosity."
