CT1 and Wickes seal a deal

Published: 18 January 2021 - Neil Mead

CT1, sealant and adhesive, has secured a major new agreement with Wickes, which will see the nation’s favourite ‘Snag List Eliminator’ stocked nationwide at its 250+ stores.

CT1 is a British made advanced formula sealant, which has quickly become the UK’s favourite all-in-one solution, used by the trade and DIY enthusiasts alike. CT1’s success is down to the fact the sealant does the job the job of several products in one and can even be used under water.

With Wickes now stocking the product, it means CT1 will be made available for more home DIY tasks as well as larger construction projects.

The sealant, designed and manufactured in the UK, has long been the go-to technology in the trade thanks to its long-lasting ‘Tribrid’ formulation which, as well as resisting bacteria, prevents it from shrinking or cracking, meaning it will remain flexible and bond almost any material, saving customers time and money.

The agreement between Wickes and CT1 follows a partnership in which the two brands can be seen supporting over 40 Premier League, EFL Championship, and SPL football clubs, including Leeds United, London Stadium, Newcastle United, Celtic and Rangers.

CT1 and Wickes will reach out to a huge footballing audience, utilising Eleven Sports Media’s wide-reaching digital-stadia technology, to promote their partnership via a range of channels at live football matches across the UK.

Many football fans will already be familiar with CT1, with the brand having utilised Eleven’s digital activation platforms very effectively to become almost synonymous with the sport in recent years. The partnership with Wickes will be promoted across multiple digital platforms, including pitchside LED boards, digital ribbon, and social media.

Speaking of the agreement Wickes Category Manager, Heather Martin, commented: “We’ve been supplying trade and DIY customers in the UK for nearly 40 years and we pride ourselves on being able to provide them with the best tools to get the job done properly. With that in mind, we’re delighted to bring CT1 to our stores, to offer both commercial and home users the UK’s strongest, long-lasting, and most versatile multi-use sealant.”

CT1’s Head of Marketing and Brand, Nicola Walsh, added: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer CT1 to the wider market. For years CT1 has been a secret of the trade but now, thanks to Wickes, our ‘Tribrid’ technology adhesive, which is 360% stronger than traditional sealants, is accessible to the wider market. Previously customers might have used 8 or 9 different sealants for multiple tasks. Now, they need just one. Whether it is to fix leaking gutters, repair toilets, seal baths or even fish ponds, CT1 has become a staple in the toolbox of every trades person and DIY hobbyist.”
