The way the ‘silent sales assistant’ works is simple yet ground-breaking. If a product is out of stock online, the DK Tools website automatically suggests an alternative to the user – replicating what a real sales assistant would do face-to-face.
The company received a large number of account registrations during the Covid pandemic, which meant that orders increased dramatically. While this was obviously a positive development for the company, it meant that many online customers were finding that their first choice was not always available. So, instead of asking them to wait until the product was back in stock, DK Tools decided to implement a system which offered an alternative product there and then.
