New publicity campaign to push 'Going Green' initiative
Glee has kicked off its publicity campaign for this year's show by announcing a raft of new initiatives.

At a press launch at the Royal Botanical Gardens, at Kew, near Richmond, Surrey, it was revealed that the event would feature:

  • A Going Green initiative – a scheme enabling buyers to home in on eco-friendly products and exhibitors;

  • An improved Glee World Network – more services for international visitors and exhibitors;

  • A new program of garden retail, machinery and pet seminars – three days of free expert sessions;

  • New interactive, searchable website.

    Glee marketing director, Johnny Thompson, said: "Glee is changing for the better. Consumers across the garden market are changing dramatically. There are more women and they are getting older. Glee is reflecting those changes."

    This year's Glee takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from September 16 to 18.

    Don't miss the next issue of DIY Week for comprehensive coverage of the new-look Glee. It's out on Friday, April 27.
