Gardening chain ventures online to maximise sales as part of its plan to 'become a major force in garden centre retailing'.
The new transactional website, www.shoots.co.uk has taken months to create and is designed to offer a cross section of the ranges found in Shoots centres.
The company, which has branches in Surrey, Middlesex and West Sussex, plans to add and adapt the online ranges according to 'market changes', as well as adding new user features for website customers.
Shoots has already emailed a number of its customers asking for feedback on changes to the site.
Shoots co-founder and managing director Piers Mummery said: "A tremendous amount of work has gone into this new sales outlet for Shoots.
"Even though I am confident that we did our research on what our customers are looking for, I am honest enough to say that there are bound to be aspects we need to develop further and other areas that we can explore."
