Strong start to the year for Hozelock

Watering equipment market leader sees sales 'exceed expectations'
Hozelock has reported a strong start to the season thanks in part to 'excellent weather' and 'huge' demand for water-wise irrigation products.

"The contrast with last year couldn't be more marked," said Hozelock marketing manager, Simon McArdle.

Sales of the company's new range of water-conserving products exceeded expectations on the back of last year's boom in water butt sales.

Hozelock has announced it is the first garden watering firm to win the official Waterwise seal of approval after evaluation of two new Hozelock product ranges for this spring.

Hozelock reports that Easter sales of both were well above forecast.
