Shurtape makes it a straight eight on TV for Duck and Frog
Published: 14 September 2017
Shurtape is investing in high-profile TV advertising for its market-leading products, Duck Tape and Frog Tape - for the eighth year in a row.
Again targeting the mainstream consumer DIYer, the tape manufacturer’s Autumn/Winter 2017 campaign is a highly-targeted sponsorship and ad schedule across TV and radio.
The new Frog Tape campaign will launch at the start of October and is entitled ‘Bring Your Painting to Life’, focusing on how the product can help even amateur painters create professional, creative finishes.
Built around TV, with ITV’s prime daytime show Good Morning Britain, the schedule will also include Heart FM and, for the first time, the ad will be rolled out on Smooth Radio, delivering huge mainstream reach. Duck Tape, meanwhile, will also feature on Good Morning Britain, giving both brands mass reach at a key time of day.
Shurtape UK head of marketing Alan Murray said: “This demonstrates our commitment to our trade customers, who have benefitted from a heavy TV push in the past. This is a key time of year, when consumers are looking to ‘nest’ and smarten up their homes for the winter months, so we wanted to ensure we had a strong presence across the UK.
“We’ll be amplifying the campaign with home interest media advertorials, in-store activity and social media programmes,” concludes Mr Murray.. “As market leaders, we are keen to help our consumers through the purchasing process, while supporting our key customers by driving traffic into their stores.”
