The new-look cafe bar
Family-run garden retailer Squire’s Garden Centres has revamped the café at its centre in Shepperton, Middlesex to create a striking new café bar, complete with afternoon tea area and piano.
The new eatery boasts stylish new decor and there are now distinct seating areas, including the main café bar, an afternoon tea area with piano, coffee lounge with sofas, plus a special family-friendly area.
Squire’s deputy chairman Sarah Squire said: “We are absolutely thrilled to open our new Café Bar in Shepperton. It’s run by our same team of friendly staff and they can’t wait to welcome all our customers.”
The 15-strong independent chain is kicking off the festive season with a special “Prepare For Christmas” shopping evening this Friday from 5pm. The event will help launch the new café bar and also give customers a preview of Squire’s Shepperton’s Christmas shop. Customers will be offered discounts on Christmas goods and refreshments upon arrival, as well as live music, food and wine tasting and demonstrations and workshops on Christmas crafts.
There will also be guidance on planting bulbs for winter colour, feeding wild birds, and buying artificial and real Christmas trees.
Squire’s Garden Centres, which operates garden centres across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Middlesex, North and West London, celebrated its 80th anniversary last year. Founded by D.J. Squire in 1936, it was initially as a landscape gardening business, which then developed into one of the first garden centre businesses in the UK when Twickenham opened in 1964.
All Squire’s centres have a café bar on site serving breakfast, drinks, snacks, lunch and afternoon tea.
